Jean-Philippe Vandeborre


Jean-Philippe Vandeborre received the M.Sc. degree in 1997 and the Ph.D degree in Computer Science in 2002, both from University Lille 1, France. He also holds the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) – a French post-doctoral degree allowing its holder to supervise PhD students and more generally researches – since June 2012 from University Lille 1, France.

Currently, he is a Full Professor of Computer Science at Institut Mines-Telecom / Telecom Lille. He is also a member of the Computer Science Laboratory in University Lille 1 (LIFL UMR CNRS 8022).

His research interests are mainly focused on three-dimensional model analysis, and include indexing and retrieval from content, 3D-mesh segmentation methods and automatic evaluation of segmentation quality. He is co-author of several papers in refereed journals and proceedings of international conferences. He has been involved in French and European projects and has served as program committee member and reviewer for international journals and conferences.
